About the Event
A winter depression rears it ugly head during late fall or early winter. In some cases, symptoms may start out mild and become more severe as the season progresses.
Signs and symptoms of winter depression include:
- Feeling depressed most of the day, every other day
- Loss of interest in activities you once considered pleasureable
- Being constantly tired or having low energy
- Having problems falling asleep, or staying asleep
- Experiencing drastic changes in your appetite or weight
- Feeling sluggish, slow or irritable
- Having difficulty concentrating or staying focused
- Feeling hopeless, worthless or guilty
- Having thoughts of death or suicide
